You know he is the first child in a lot of ways. I'm not sure that they are all good ways...but you get what you get with him.
At 14.5 weeks (see...I told you he was the first child) he had tooth #1 and then shortly after tooth #2.
Somewhere in his 5 year old time (today!), he lost it.
If you have been in the area, you probably would have known about the loose tooth. It was displayed with pride for about a month now.
A bite of an apple got it really loose this morning.
A tooth pillow is in the works and a letter to the tooth fairy is to be written. He does not want to give up the tooth. He would like to please keep it. I think he has plans to even type the said letter.
The first child.

the end is here!
It has been a very long and very busy week for us. I had things to post about but they are old news by now.
Today was the boys' last day of school. It has been such a fun year for them! They've grown in so many ways.

It is hard to believe they are getting so big!

A first
It was time for baby Logan to get his first haircut. He was rockin' the mullet a little and kind of the Albert Einstein fuzz.
Our local barber is just the best. The boys love going to him. Apparently, so does Logan.
He has this sweet, little porcelain chair for them to sit in.
Logan sat very still and stoic.
All done and ready to go. He is still the baby - even with a big boy hair cut.
...at least I'll keep telling myself that.

Around this house
:: total chaos surrounds me
::my house is in a perpetual state of disarray
:: Logan is the Master of Disaster and can disassemble any room in a manner of minutes (usually while I'm cleaning up the last room he terrorized)
:: walking, running, and dashing boys makes for crashes
::I have the powers to get really muddy clothes clean
::I made a new recipe, and it was gobbled up by everyone. I could have eaten it all myself. I used pesto, Italian Turkey Sausage and omitted the cheese (because I forgot it).
::All the above is really cramping my knitting style...but it is worth it (at least I'll say that when the kids are in bed, laundry is done, dishes put away, and I've seen the latest Real Housewives)!

Beach babies
More than a week ago, my family traveled down to Florida to visit my family. We had such a nice time. It isn't too often that both my brothers, my sister-in-law, and parents are all in the same place at the same time. Being in Alaska, New York, and Illinois makes it quite hard to do it.
The weather was perfect. It was in the 80's, sunny, and humid. We were quite lucky in that!
We stayed at Lido Beach in Sarasota which was in between my grandparents and Aunts and Uncle. The hotel wasn't the best, but the view was.
All my kids needed were some sand, sun, and water!
It was Logan's first time in the sand. He was frantically playing with it. Used to me taking away the dog dish and water bowl, he played in the sun and water like it was the last thing he'd get to do! It was so cute! We just let him go at it and he ate plenty of fresh sand and sea water. I think that must be what cured his cradle cap for the week!
The bigger boys really love the beach and water too. Mason kept getting knocked down by little waves and tripping over nothing (as usual) and was cut up by shells by the next day. He decided to stay out of the water as it burned a bit.
Reagan wished it was a bit warmer like it was in the summer so he could swim in the water. The ocean was about 70ish so it was a bit chilly to swim!
I failed as the family photographer and didn't take my camera with me many places. We had such a great time and spent a lot of time at my Aunt Pam's lovely house. When we got back and went to school the next week, my boys constantly asked me if we were going to go to her house yet! Sorry guys, wrong state.

Superhero and Birthdays
In our house, we have 3 superheroes. We talk about superheroes, we dream about them, we dress like them (sometimes several of them at the same time), and we party like them!
We were lucky enough to go to our friend's Alaric's Superhero 5th Birthday Party! It was so much fun! The kids had to dress like a superhero and they did crafts, made more costume accessories, and made capes for charity.
Mason was Ironman with his helmet, blaster, and glove. Reagan was Batman. Logan was Superman - complete with cape and red underpants on the outside of his blue pants.
It was a lot of fun!
And since I'm blogging about being a Superhero, this one is for you Dad.
It is like having my littlest brother in the house again!
Mason...a.k.a. Aang - The Last Airbender - Avatar --complete with his tattoo while playing legos while also wearing Batman.

And just like that
And Just Like That...It is Spring! At least for today!
I was taught that having three mobile, wild, fun, and charismatic boys is quite exhausting. No more little stolen knitting time outside while discussing the theories behind each superhero's powers, parents, lineage, and weaknesses, strengths, costumes, vehicles, enemies, and all the likes. Lots of runs, walks, chasing, and pulling things out of a little chomper of a mouth will be my moments. Thank goodness for my Iphone camera and fun apps. I'd never get to capture them otherwise!
It does sound like fun! Bring it on!

A favorite toy
I love it when a toy will last for three kids...and the same kids can play with it at the same time! We've had our Sand and Water Table (newer version here) since Reagan was little and it has served us so well. If a new parent was looking for a great toy to buy, I always suggest this. When it isn't gross with mud and sand, it can come in. We fill it with water when it is a bit warmer out but too cold for the pool or when the sand it all used up, corn. I think my boys would argue to which they like better to play with - corn or water. Having a farming Pop keeps the corn always supplied.
With the warmer weather, we got the table out for Logan to have a go at it for the first time. Intstantly, the big boys flocked to it and played all day with it. I love to watch them have conversations with all the resturant patrons and emergency animal feedings they come up with.
I also really like that my oldest can pick the mouthful of corn out of the babies mouth. A good skill to have when their mother would rather be taking pictures of them.
Aww. Mason (about 14 m. here) loved it so much. He looked like this all summer -a ratty cloth diaper, sun shirt and mud.
Why yes mommy, my mouth is full of corn. Who wants to change that diaper?
Such a good big brother to fish old corn out of a little mouth.

this moment...
{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

these moments...
More than one moment - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
