this week's Yarn Along... my link isn't working!
Participating in a yarn along!
This week I am still slowly working on my Annabel sweater. It is taking forever. With a sick (again) baby, it seems my time is very limited lately.
We just finished reading The Magic Treehouse's Dinosaurs Before Dark. I've started reading aloud chapter books from the witching hours of 6:45-7:45. So far it has seemed to help keep the chaos down and the kids selecting more independent toys/activities to play with while they listen. Logan wants to be too busy to sit in my lap and read so I like doing this for him too. Anything Dinosaurs works for my crew. They really want me to start reading Harry Potter to them. I can't wait either but I think they are too young to understand that yet but we will try a chapter tonight. I'm listening to the audiobook Crave by J.R. Ward. I usually like her books and her series but so far I'm not a fan of this one. I'll need to find something new soon as I can't go a day without listening to something!
You're sweater is lovely - what a great color! And we have recently started The Magic Treehouse series too. The Little People are loving it, and reading the chapters together has become a great addition to our daily routine!
ReplyDeleteOH, that sweater looks just amazing with that color and perfect stitches.
ReplyDeleteI love the colour of your sweater! My daughter has really enjoyed The Magic Treehouse series over the last couple years.
ReplyDeleteI too love the color of your sweater but since I'm not a "yarny" I don't even think of those things until other people respond to them.
ReplyDeleteWhat I do love is YOU!!! It's been awhile since I've caught up on your blog and I just love it so much and I love your kiddos and I love your bread making, yarn knitting, read aloud, listening to books kind of ways...oh, and luckily my kid was a recipient of THREE of the silk "capes" and many a time i too have been seen wearing one around my shoulders, in my hair, or even around a leg! Such a good mommy!!!
The sweater is beautiful and I'm still in love with its name 'annabel'. It is so nice to find all these great blogs, my bookmarks are getting full now!
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is beautiful. Sick babies do make knitting difficult!
ReplyDeleteI love that color! And I, too, can't wait to someday read Harry Potter to my kids. But since they're 4 months and 3 years, it will probably be awhile. In the meantime, I'll just have to re-read them (again!) for myself!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your little one is sick, such a gorgeous sweater.
ReplyDeleteWe love reading chapter books together. One of the great things about it is that the boys can be working quietly on something while I read.
ReplyDeleteI love the blue yarn! Beauiful color!
ReplyDeleteWe too love to read the Magic Tree House Books!
That sweater looks so good! Love the color. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sweater...oh how I wish I could knit.
ReplyDeleteWe've had entires seasons where it seemed one right after another was sick and then it would start over again. Just a tip I learned during that time was to constantly change the filters the vent system in our home, it did make a difference. I hope everyone is mended up soon and that your getting rest!
ReplyDeleteThe sweater is still darling and it inspired me to start a sweater (again), I hope to finish it this time though!
So happy for Yarn Along day! You've always got something awesome going on here. Hopefully kiddos are on the mend this week. Cheers~
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing what a good story can do? Your knitting is beautiful. I am loving Yarn Along...so many wonderful discoveries along the way.
ReplyDeleteBut you are making progress and it's really beautiful!
