Happy Monday!

With a busy weekend preparing for a new job...

A photo shoot (lol)...

and an impromptu trip to my parent's house.  My brother is in town for the week before he goes to Alaska!  We'll miss him! And boy, it is hot all of a sudden!  Gotta love midwest weather!
The Tea Leaves Cardy I've been working on day and night is finally finished!  I'm so happy with it!  Tessa Ann on Etsy is making perfect buttons and I'll post pics of it when it is all finished!  For now, I'm working on an Elizabeth Zimmermann blanket for my babe.  He seems to "need" one!
Happy Monday!!

WIP Wednesday

WIP= Work In Progress!

Much to my dismay, my internet savvy Nana saw my blog about her "surprise" Tea Leaves Cardy.   I do blame my husband for this as he attached my blog's address in a mass email he sent out.  I know it is "really" my fault as I labeled it "Nana's" but I need to blame someone other than me, right?

The cardy is coming along now.  I am so glad that I am finally on the sleeves and able to knit in the round.  I think I don't want to purl for quite some time now!

garage sales, horses and shivering!

These 4 days have been busy for our family - yet again!  On Friday and Saturday, my good friend Lisa B. hosted a garage sale which I happily added merchandise too and "worked".  I love getting rid of things...almost too much!  It was fun and I loved having Lisa all to myself to get to know her even better.

After the dust settled from that event, my family and I traveled just an hour and a half to see my mother's other "child", Vinnie, show in a horse show.  It has been lots of fun to watch him develop into a great prospect for her.  I hope they have years and years of fun as we did with his cousin, Renegade (who is now "retired" and Reagan's learning horse).

But the best part of going to a horse show with little boys, other then when they get to participate in the actual show, is all the stuff that is there.

Reagan loves to feed and do chores.  He is just like his parents in that aspect.  I think he asked Mr. Sam a dozen times if it was time to feed yet.

 A tongue always makes lifting a scoop of grain easier.
 Pushing the hay wagon.
 "Look Mom-I can tear it apart!"
 Vinnie enjoying the fruits of Reagan's labor.
 THIS is why Mason likes to come.  He was pretty sure that the blue Mack truck was employed by Dinoco and that The King must be around somewhere practicing.  Plus he gets his best-buddy Pop to take him all around and sit on every tractor there they can find.

How Logan enjoys the horse show.

This is also our last week of preschool.  It really has been such a fun year and we have been so blessed to become part of a fun little family within our class.  The end of the yarn picnic was held (for some odd reason) in beautiful 57 degree raining weather.  The boys were soaked as they romped and played in the mud puddles and Logan was held, as usual, by one of his fan club members, Liz.
Nathan has the week off as he prepares for his new job with EIi Lilly's Elanco Animal Health and the travel that will accompany that position.  He'll be working for me as we work on our home's rhythm so life can run as smoothly as can be when I take on some of his roles.  Painting, cleaning, playing, lots of knitting, a bit of dyeing and relaxing are all on the list of things to do!

WIP Wednesday

WIP=Work In Progress

I've just been steadily working on my Nana's Tea Leaves cardy!  I hope to be on the sleeves by the end of the weekend. With a garage sale in the works and a horse show to attend, it might not happen!

Time to simplify!

I hope all of you mothers had a tremendously wonderful Mother's Day! I was lucky to spend it with my own mother (and father) and my precious babes. Even though our weekend was busy as always, we were home and busy just being us.

My babies made me a lovely large Mother's Day card (as they know I have an affection for all things made) that they both read to me and artfully decorated.

I made bread before starting at 6 pm on Sunday so I wasn't up waiting for my bread to rise a bunch of times before I could bake it. Plus I was able to sneak in a little knitting before 8:30 at night which was highly enjoyable for me and rare lately.

And I finally caught my littlest man's smile. Can't help but love little chubby boys!

I finished up the last of my dyed-for-sale yarn. After frantically working on this all week long and being disappointed that I couldn't get what I wanted because I am a mother of three little ones, I've decided that I need to simplify more. For me, I just can not let things go easily and I can't have yarn strewn undyed/dyed and chemicals to dye with all over the house. I just have too many eager helpers. I find it much more enjoyable to dye what my customer needs and work from there. It is more of a birthing of a project to start from scratch and I think that is the road I need to take for now.

I'll be opening slots for customs soon so fall wardrobes can be planned. If you contacted me before about getting on my customs' list, I'll be contacting you soon!

Have a great Monday! Wish us luck as we go to the Dr. to see if my oldest has pink eye!
